What's in My Bag?
I know I love seeing what's in celebrities and even random women's purses. Now I don't suggest going through a strangers purse, but I thought I'd give you a peek at what I keep on hand pretty much at all times.
First, I always have a water bottle on me. I love this glass one from BKR. It's small enough to carry in my purse which makes it super easy to transport. Also, the silicone sleeve makes it not so scary to carry glass. I dropped it at the airport and it didn't break or crack! Clumsy people, rejoice!
I love carrying these Vital Proteins packets. I tried these Beauty Waters at Indie Beauty Expo last summer and fell in love. They have a few flavors (I have Lavender Lemon Melon Mint) and they're so yummy. It definitely helps me drink more water throughout the day! You also get the incredible benefits of collagen. Collagen helps keeps your skin hydrated, firm and maintain its elasticity. I also make sure to keep the Collagen Peptides in my bag as well. They're also great for your skin, hair, nails and even your joints!
I obviously love smelling nice, so I make sure to always keep deodorant on me. I've been enjoying this one by Ursa Major. I do have to reapply during the day but that's not a big deal to me. This one doesn't have fragrance or baking soda, so it's perfect for those of us with sensitive pits!
Speaking of smelling nice, anything by Leahlani Skincare is a friend of mine. I keep this roll-on perfume with me too. It's easy and inconspicuous to apply throughout the day. I have the scent 'Pua Lei'. Leah describes it as a tropical flower child - sweet and delicate. She's right. It's a light flowery smell. Nothing too overpowering or overly feminine.
We all have days when our hair needs a little extra help. These two little guys are either in my purse or car - always. When my hair is a little too frizzy, I put a few drops of the Innersense Harmonic Healing Oil (old packaging) in the palm of hands and then tame the frizz. To ensure my hair doesn't act out again, I spray a few spritzs of the Josh Rosebrook Hairspray to tame the wild animal in a humane way.
When I carry a larger bag, I keep a mini toothbrush and toothpaste with me. But in a smaller purse, I don't have that luxury. So I keep Dr. Brite's Brite and Fresh Mouth Spray nearby. It refreshes breath, helps whiten teeth and keeps your mouth moisturized and minty fresh! You can take 10% off your order with code MsCentsible too! You can thank me later!
Of course, I have to have cute sunglasses! I'm obsessed with anything by Johnny Fly Co! They use Acetate, which is extremely durable and hypoallergenic! Their lenses also block harmful UV rays! One of my all time favorite frames are the Latitude White Tortoise Wooden Sunnies. Every time I wear these, someone asks me where I got them. They're trendy without looking overdone.
How many make up products does one purse need? I'll never know. But I have an abundance of lip products in my bag. I've had the Urb Apothecary Lip Cheeks Blush/Tint Stick for a while and I love it for adding sheer color to my cheeks and highlighting them at the same time. It adds so much moisture to the cheeks (and lips!) and gives them a great dewy, youthful look. Another favorite lip product is Kari Gran's Lip Whip. I have it in 'Jeannie' and it is such a nice, sheer berry shade. It adds a touch of color and is so moisturizing.
I just got this Nude & Noir Reserve Palette and I freaking love it! It's the perfect palette for touchups throughout the day. It has a pretty champagne-y color, called 'Blanc de Noir' which is perfect for highlighting. 'Cork' is a bronze shade that can be used in the hollows of your cheeks as a bronzer/contour color or as an eyeshadow. 'Rosé' and 'Burgundy' are both multi-use shades - use them on your cheeks and lips!
Nude & Noir recommends to use your fingers to apply those shades. So obviously you need clean fingers, which brings me to the next item that's always in my bag. Kosmatology's Hand Sanitizer's have been a staple of mine for quite some time! I have the scent Goody Goody Grapefruit and it smells delicious, a little fruity and a little spicy! I love how convenient these sprays are. You can spray your hands, spray the cart and/or spray the hands of a random child.
I gotta have sweets on me too! I either have Theo's Dark Chocolate Sea Salt or these Original Cocomels in my purse. These Cocomels are made with coconut milk and are so rich and smooth. They are so good and I don't even like most coconut things! They also have dark chocolate covered caramels and those things are out of this world. I can never keep them around long enough to take a picture. My mouth is actually watering just thinking about them.
My dad will forever make fun of me whenever I whip out these stainless steel straws in public. But I have to have them on me. I even have a handy dandy case for them (got it on sale at Anthropologie years ago) to keep them clean. You can get the straws on Amazon for under ten bucks! There are a ton of choices! I have a taller and shorter option because you never know what size cup you'll end up getting.
Last but not least, my beloved metallic scrunchie. I can't remember where I got it. But they sure come in handy. Which is probably why my mom purchased a ton of them in the 90's.
What do you carry around in your bag?
