Embrace Your Mantra - A Beauty Revolution with Gia Minerals
It’s been a while and I’m excited to talk about this collaboration with Gia Minerals!
I recently got the opportunity to work with Georgina (founder of Gia Minerals) to create a super special collection including a few of her products.
We all have little mantras that we keep on a loop in our heads, right? Whether your slogan is YOLO (time to update that one!) or Carpe Diem, I think it helps to have a daily saying to inspire us or remind us who we are.
My beauty mantra is Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well.”
Georgina sent over some questions about me, beauty advice and questions about my look!
Who Are You?
I'm Amber. I'm the blogger behind TrulyAmber.com. I'm all about living a true and beauty filled life. I blog about clean beauty and green skincare. I'm a wife, daughter, friend and most importantly - a dog mom to an adorable pup, Zooey.
What is Your Beauty Mantra?
My beauty mantra is Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. It comes from a verse in the Bible. Beauty trends and the definition of beauty come and go. But I know that I am fearfully (meaning to have extreme respect for something) and wonderfully made. I know that God created me and because of that, I don't need to seek approval from anyone.
What Gia Minerals clean beauty products were used to Embrace Your Mantra?
I applied the powder foundation in Chamois all over and went back and focused under my eyes. I applied Renaissance all over the lid and on my lower lashline. Then I went back in with Chiffon and used it as liner on the top and bottom outer corner lashline to define my eyes a little bit more. After that, I curled my lashes and applied a few coats of mascara! Lastly, I gently tapped on the Curious lipstick. This lipstick is PIGMENTED - which I love! I was feeling a natural look so I applied it pretty light as a stain. But it helps to have products that are buildable to create a bolder look!
What Do You Hope Your Look Communicates To The World?
I love simple makeup. It sounds so cheesy, but let your beauty shine through! I don't know about you, but when someone else does my makeup and they cover every square inch of my face with foundation - covering up every freckle, every blemish, every scar - I don't feel human. And I honestly don't feel that beautiful. I feel self conscious and hidden. I definitely enjoy a subtle makeup look - like what I created with Gia Minerals.
What is Your Favorite Fantastic Face Feature?
I love my eyes. I love how green and bold they are. They remind me of my moms eyes!
What Gia Minerals Clean Beauty Products Were Used To Enhance Your Favorite Features?
I love using eyeshadows to make my eyes pop. I used Renaissance shadow all over the lid and on my lower lash line to make my green eyes stand out a little bit more.
Favorite Thing About Yourself?
I love making people laugh. Whether I'm dancing like an idiot or telling a funny story, I want to laugh with you!
Favorite Beauty Trick?
I like applying highlighter to the apples of my cheeks. For me, it looks a little more natural. I don't necessarily like the trend of applying highlighter above my brow. When I get sweaty, I mean 'dewey', I tend to glisten on my entire cheek. Not just the cheekbones or my brow!
What Advice Do You Give Women To Purify Negative Thoughts About Their Flaws & Embrace Their Uniqueness?
For me, on days when I feel like I'm insignificant or what I do isn't needed, knowing that there is not another person on this planet like me helps me embrace my uniqueness. I am special. I do matter. I am unique. You are special. You matter. You are unique.
Ok, enough about me! Here are the shades from the I Am Fearfully & Wonderfully Made Collection!
These colors are easy to wear, buildable and so beautiful!
It was really fun to create this collection with Gia Minerals and I am so grateful. Thank you, Georgina!
