Antonym Cosmetics Review
I've been wanting to try Antonym Cosmetics for quite some time! Not to judge based on appearance, but their packaging alone is worth a purchase, right?!
I've tried a handful of their products and I'm in love!
Up first is their Certified Organic Baked Blush in Peach. Their Baked Blush is a baked marble powder and is in a beautiful bamboo compact with a mirror for easy application. I read about how they make this blush and what a beautiful process it is! I can't explain it nearly as well as Antonym does. So here is an excerpt from their website. "An innovative process transforms the blush crème into a finely textured powder. The crème is baked in a terracotta pan in a process that naturally binds it into its domed shape. Swirls of color are added to each individual blush before baking, giving every blush its own unique color imprint." Wow. The best part is that this blush looks so natural. It is such a pretty light pink. You can tell that it would look good on everyones cheeks! The pigment is wonderful too. All you need is a light tap on the compact and lightly press on your cheeks. Easy peasy.
I also got their Certified Organic Eyeshadow Quattro in Croisette! This compact has 4 shades and they're all so pretty. It comes with a yellow tinted powder, great for brightening up your inner corner. A pretty champagney pink color, great for all over the lid. A coppery shade that I've been freaking loving on my lower lash line. It makes my green eyes pop. Lastly, a true black shadow. This quad is simple, versatile and easy to wear. Plus, again, that packaging!
I was really excited to try their Certified Organic Lola Lash Too Mascara. I feel like everyone in the green beauty community raves about a few mascaras and Antonym's is definitely one of them! It has a really cool wand that I don't see in the green beauty world often. It's more of a wet formula and takes a little longer to dry. But it does make your lashes look a lot thicker and it adds a lot of length as well. It did transfer a little bit after a few hours. But that's probably just because of the intense North Carolina heat and humidity. Tip for ya! If you notice that your eye makeup is smudging, try using a powder concealer instead of a cream concealer! It has done wonders for keeping my mascara and eyeliner last all day without any smudging!
I've had Antonym's Certified Natural Lip Pencil in Pinkish for a while and had to include it in this post. It's a chubby (I mean that in the best way) pretty pink lip pencil that can be used as liner or all over the lips. It gives you the precision of a liner with the texture of a lipstick. When I line my lips, I line my entire lip for longer lasting lipstick. But this pencil is a lip liner and lipstick rolled into one. Which definitely makes it convenient when throwing a lip product into your purse.
Antonym's Certified Natural Eye Pencil is probably my favorite of the bunch! It has amazing color payoff. I have it in black and brown. It's comes with a handy dandy sharpener too! Also, this non-makeup artist thinks it's very user friendly. I love applying eyeliner and then smudging it out with a stiff eyeshadow brush. It totally covers up the fact that I cannot draw a straight line. These eye pencils will definitely be re-purchases for sure. They stay put all day and don't tug at my eye when applying!
Let me know if you have any questions about any of the products mentioned! Keep your eyes peeled for another review on their brand new Skin Esteem Organic Liquid Foundation!
Hope you all have a great rest of your week!
